This was my first trial to JW Marriott, and i really got astonished from the low skills and weak performance of the staff working there, especially for waiters in restauranrs and house keeping. I received my bags more than 30 minutes after i entered my room, i was so tired, and i discovered that my bags delivered to a wrong... more

I chose the JW Marriott in Cairo because of favourable reviews on TripAdvisor, and also due to its relatively close location to Cairo International Airport (I was booked on the 0835 BA flight to London which required an early hotel departure). I booked on the Marriott.com website and secured a $290 room (not cheap by Cairo standards) with Executive lounge... more

I stayed at this hotel for work. I wouldn't return, in fact I'm going to be trying the Marriott Casino resort next time. The rooms were ok, at least on the larger size. The choice of restaurants were few to none and very expensive. One night I had the buffet so at least if I didn't like it I could... more

This hotel was excellent with great accomodation, in a lovely setting, well away from the hubbub of Cairo, with high levels of security. It is a good way from the town centre, approximately 40 minutes in the shuttle bus, but a great sanctuary after sight seeing, with its lovely swimming pools and restaurants. more

This was our first trip to Cairo and I did not realize when booking just how far out of Cairo or Giza the hotel was. Nontheless this is a gorgeous hotel with what my husband said was a marvelous golf course and beautiful grounds. They have their own "beach" and the pool area is lovely. If I had it to... more

I've been to this hotel now 25 times in the last 5 years. Having read some of the reviews I have to say that some people do not get it... Service is great as long as you remember to tip beforehand. This is the way of Egypt. Life is great when you are a"blue chip" customer. Find out what it... more

The hotel is very nice. Room is spacious and staff very helpful. However the food choice is pretty poor. Several times I have to sent it back. Before this stay I only ever sent things back once in my life time! more

Second time in Cairo in a Marriott, this time in Mirage City and again a flop. The hotel product here is quite nice but the staff in terms of training and most in terms of service is disastrous. At check the mess starts and based on the size one would think the hotels is ready for check ins of 4,5,6... more

Have stayed here several times when we lived in Cairo and wanted a weekend get-away. The beauty of this hotel for us is that because its a resort hotel outside Cairo it was like going away for the weekend without the expense of flights! The rooms are all of a good standard and the service is pretty good for Egypt.... more

The hotel itself is located about 30 minutes from the airport and is enormous. It's not very centrally located so if you want to visit the pyramids or the Citadel or any of the significant attractions be prepared for a bit of a drive. The hotel offers complementary shuttle bus service to and from the major sites. They can also... more
