Nice big rooms, comfy large bed, had several TV channels in english. Staff not very helpful. No Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room. Situated right opposite Nile, this hotel is convenient mainly for its location and its excellent views. Heaven-sent after the heat and chaos of Cairo streets and tourist attractions. This is one of the oldest hotels in Cairo, the hotel is from 70's I guess. The room supplies are very poor and the meal quality is not good. The check in desk staff has problems with English, not easy to communicate. Breakfast is very good, variety of food is good. Location excellent. more

Old Hilton Hotel changing hands Jan. 2009. Worn looking but pleasant staff. Food good but somewhat pricey. Ramses Hilton down the street is the replacement. Both on the Nile.
