Even in its present state of decline (it's no longer a Hilton) the hotel is very nice because of its human dimensions, air of comfort and accessibility. The hotel staff is helpful and professional. The lobby a great place to meet and hang out with people. Our favorite feature, the lovely outdoor cafe and the walkway to Freedom Square, the... more

From the moment I step foot into the Nile Hilton, I felt as though I was of Egyptian Royalty. Our group had both of the top floor Penthouse suites at both corners facing the Nile. From the jacuzzi bathtubs, sauna, gold plated aunings and plush robes, we all felt like it was off an episode of MTV cribs. It was... more

Nice big rooms, comfy large bed, had several TV channels in english. Staff not very helpful. No Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room. We eat at the buffet which was good value, and good western food. Pool was lovely, with nice changing rooms. We found you either have to pay alot for a decent standard hotel in Cairo... more

Situated right opposite Nile, this hotel is convenient mainly for its location and its excellent views. The Egyptian mueseum is walking distance and other attractions can be accessed with the help of the hotel. In itself the hotel is nothing special. Its your average Hilton with fair sized rooms. Admittedly, it could do with a little refurbishment. Cleanliness standards are... more

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel has good arrangement for site seeing. Good food. It is just opposite to the National Museum. Shopping street, & all other activities like dinner cruise. more

Heaven-sent after the heat and chaos of Cairo streets and tourist attractions. Was very happy with this hotel, although the shop assistants in the lobby shops were bordering on disdainful towards women. Reception staff etc were VERY helpful and kind. Fantastic location right across from the Nile, and the Cairo museum. Breakfasts were great, and rooms very comfortable indeed. HIGHLY... more

My partner and I originally stayed at the Wake Up Cairo Hostel... until we got sick (probably from the water or food) at which point we really wanted the privacy of our own room. We booked the Nile Hilton simply because it was close by. Boy were we glad we did! We ordered room service all day when we were... more

Just spent three days at this Hotel. We had a wonderful time. Very friendlyly and courteous staff. I did not find the hotel outdated at all. The room was very comfortable, front service desk staff very helpful, the food was excellent - really no complaints. Location was perfect for our needs. The noise below not did troble us in any... more

This is one of the oldest hotels in Cairo, the hotel is from 70's I guess. The room supplies are very poor and the meal quality is not good. The check in desk staff has problems with English, not easy to communicate. Breakfast is very good, variety of food is good. Location excellent. more

Old Hilton Hotel changing hands Jan. 2009. Worn looking but pleasant staff. Food good but somewhat pricey. Ramses Hilton down the street is the replacement. Both on the Nile. Comfortable beds and linen. Nice views of the Nile from the room. Very nice swimming pool. Traffic noise in room 24/7 but not too bad. Room price excellent. Locals on streets... more
