The Windsor is a wonderful, old hotel with great charm and character - usually not obtainable in Cairo today. It is a great place to meet interesting people from all over the world. I highly recommend the hotel, particularly as it provides an idea of what Cairo used to be like. more

I stayed at this hotel due to the good reviews. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The bathrooms are disgustingly dirty. Plus the matresses on the beds are old and super uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel needs a facelift and a good cleaning. I would spend your money elsewhere. I definitely won't be returning. more

The former British officers' club, very near the metro and about 20 minutes walk from the city centre. Rooms vary greatly in size, some have showers and/or toilets, others not, make it clear what you are booking. Its clean, comfortable, has unfailingly helpful staff and will do airport pick-ups.
