The Lotus Hotel Is truly a gem in downtown Cairo. Very clean, hardwood floors, antique furniture, room with balcony, great location:minutes walk to Egyptian Museum, Nile, Opera House, galleries, an array of restaurants, free high speed Internet in lobby, a most friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, and all this for such a reasonable price. more

This hotel is not for high-maintenance folk; one must love well worn but individual furniture and appreciate some history in a place that would be considered Boheme by most.
