The hotel is nice but to get there it took 45 min from Egyptian Museum with taxi. So we were not happy with that. Is not a good place to stay if you want to visit Cairo. They also took money for orange juice that they served us for breakfast (in Cairos hotels everyone want your money... tips for everything)... more

I just returned from a tour through Egypt Uncovered, which -- for the most part -- was fantastic. However, the trip itself was somewhat overshadowed by my experience at the Zayed Hotel. The staff, with few exceptions, was surely and rude. As for the hotel itself, our tour offered free days but there was little to do near the hotel.... more

I stayed at Zayed on two occasions this september. The location is definitely bad for first time tourists. The city center is on the opposite side of Nile, so u have to catch a cab to center which will cost you 15 L.E. That is not a problem, but returning to Zayed hotel from center or Giza or actually anywhere... more

An excellent base to explore Cairo - I felt safe walking around the neighbourhood although it is a bit of a maze to find it on the way back - adds to the adventure. The staff were more than helpful and organised taxi's for us to go to the market and to the pyramids. They even agreed the price witht... more

I stayed here with my husband, three children (9,7,1) and sister (19) for two nights. We had an "apartment suite" with two very large bedrooms rooms, a large sitting room, a big kitchenette and a bathroom. It was very good for a three star hotel. One bedroom had a double bed and a baby cot, the other had three single... more

The hotel is in a very inconvenient location for exploring Cairo. It's a lot way out of the city centre, and there's really nothing interesting nearby. It's a ten pound taxi ride to the nearest Metro station, and it's difficult to find a cab to get you back to the hotel. The hotel itself is old and run-down, though generally... more

Just returned to UK after a stay at Zayed. The people were lovely, food good and comfy beds. The lifts were a bit confussing as couldn't open the door and the floors ate a bit maze like...but that added to the ambiance! I'll saty there again! Catherine x more

I stayed at the Zayed with 2 friends in mid-January, as part of a tour. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful or more friendly - bags were carried by an army of smartly dressed porters, the reception manager ordered taxis, changed money, booked extra nights, and direct edme to a police station (to report a previous theft)... more

We stayed two nights at the Zayed. The hotel was a bit difficult to find, especially when the flight to Cairo arrives at 04:00. The taxi driver went around the hotel area for half an hour until we finally found it. The hotel is clean. While halls have Egyptian design decoration, rooms are average; they are worn out but they... more
