The King Tut hostel is the best hostel I have been to hands down. I am traveling by myself and the staff accomodated me in one of their numerous clean, air conditioned rooms. I was really impressed with how nice the rooms are and the cleanliness. I did not have any travel plans booked when I came to Cairo, but... more

We arrived in Cairo late on a Saturday evening and after struggling through the traffic and bustle of the city we were pleasantly surprised to find a peaceful, clean haven in the heart of it all. The staff are extremely welcoming and Atef helped us to plan the rest of our trip in Egypt down to the smallest detail. This... more

Hubby + I stayed @ King Tut Hostel for 5 days in 12/07. We had courtesy pick-up from the international airport. (Main reason we booked this hostel). Twin room was small but location of hostel was good as it was near the local market. Initially we were given a 3 bed room just above the street but next day we... more

We stayed there at the beginning of our travel in Egypt and we chose to stay there also at the end of it. It is a budget hotel and the staff is fantastic: very helpful and nice (in particular Rafik). We planned our travel through Egypt on the spot and they helped us to arrange it exactly as we planned,... more

I took my 10year old son for his birthday and we both had a great time. This was a great budget hotel. The location was excellent and the staff was great. The only complaint was the smoking in the eating room. I like my food without the smoke, but hey for $10.00 you can deal with it. Rick Aynes Oklahoma... more

This place was the best hostel we have ever stayed at. They were very organized and offer extremely competitive tour rates. The customer service was amazing. We booked a 2 night/3 day desert camping tour through them with roundtrip private van transportation from Cairo to Bahariya for 900 LE per person. The only down fall was the first night in... more

The location is great - downtown, near the Egyptian museum and Ramses station and just along the main shopping and eating area with an excellent fruit market nearby. The rooms are very clean which is exactly right for a hostel. There is nice common room for watching TV and chatting which is very sociable and there is usually a nice... more

I decided to stay at King Tut Hostel after reading some revies and I must say, it is an excellent place to stay. The entrance with the beautiful wallpaintings (see pictures). You really got the feeling you are in the ancient days. What I also liked was the Arabian Style breakfast/TV room. Here you can meet other guests from various... more

Great friendly staff, clean rooms, cheap internet and really cute breakfast/TV room. Shopping is all around and there are cheap restaurants nearby (McDonalds, Americaine, etc). more

I was very satisfied with my stay at King Tut's Hostel. Some friends and I decided to visit Egypt very last minute, so we didn't have much time to research what places we wanted to see or how we were going to get around. The staff at King Tut's were very knowledgeable and helpful…they arranged everything for us from Cairo... more
