The hotel is in a good location, just behind the Cairo Museum, in the 6th and 7th floor of an office building. The rooms are not bad. We took three. One of them was the worst in the hotel. Since we stayed for only one night, that's why they did it. Some staffs were very good, whereas behave of some... more

I arrived late in night and as promissed and a taxi , organized by the hotel was waiting for me. The hotel is simple but very clean and very very friendly. They were helpful and nice. The location is not great but once you are into exploring Cairo ,It's possible to walk to the museum (30-40 min) and from there... more

I was very happy with the Arabesque Hotel: the staff was so friendly and opend-minded and gave my many helpfull tips about what to do, what to see and on what to pay attention in Cairo. So thanks to them I could easily lose my first unsureness in that huge and impressive city. After some days I felt really home... more

You pay for what you get. Arriving at night the area looked dodgy, the elevator was not working and with the hotel being on the 6th floor, chn and luggage, this was not encouraging, however, after spending the next day in Cairo we realised this was very typical of the downtown area and was safe to walk at night. The... more

Arabesque is NOT a standard hotel. It is just a budget accomodation for single travellers who are on a tight travel budget. The accomodation is closed to the Cairo museum as many others have mentioned. It's located on the 6th floor of an old and a bit dirty building. The room as you can see from my pictures does not... more

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and took all the tours (cruise dinner,Giza, Safari, Aswan, Luxor) from the hotel. I just want to say we were fully happy with everything of the hotel. Fantastic location, economic price, nice lounge, big room, friendly staff, everone was helpful especially Lola, so special thanks to her. The tours... more

Large rooms, not perfectly clean, there were bits of chips on the quilted cover (the bedlinens were clean though) and ketchup smears on the bathroom wall. The towels had dodgy stains on, but we were given three so did not use the soiled one. Shower perfectly adequate, fairly cheap internet access (there is one computer near the reception desk). The... more

Basic hotel right in the heart of Cairo. Good location with Egyptian musuem 5 mins walk away, Zamalek only 15 mins walk away and the bars, restaurants, shops, hustle and bustle of Downtown right on the doorstep. The hotel is very central, so it's easy (and cheap) to get a taxi to the sites (Islami Cairo, the Citadel, Khan el... more

Not clean, not nice, run down communual kitchenette, fine for students who aren't fussy about the standard of accommodation as it is 2 mins walk from the museum, very central. I tried to arrange my hotels on a budget and ended up in this hotel after having been told that it was 2 star price for 5 star accommodation, LOL.... more
