This is probably one of the worst hotels in the world. Even though is rated 5 stars (probably by paying a bribe to the Egypts Dept of Tourism) is worth 2 stars at the most. Customer service doesn't exist at all at this place. The hotel is totally infested with mosquitos. When we complained they brough a can of Raids.... more
we went there when we were in a honey moon but when we arrive there .. believe me it was the bad thing that happened to us . it is not worth to get 1 star ... don't ever ever think going to that hotel and also they said that it is in Giza it so far away from giza... more
The agency where we booked our trip told us this was a five star hotel. This is far from the thruth. The hotel is big, has several restaurants, spa and a pool. The rooms were dusty and old, the sheets were transparent and you could see the print on the matress. the tv is very small and has only two... more
I had my Wedding at the Cataract Pyramid Resort on the 1st of May and it was the biggest mistake of my life. The hotel is old, out of date, dirty. Staff are Incompetent, unhelpful, rude and will steal from you if you are not careful. Food is awful, i had to make my own scrambled eggs for breakfast as... more
We were booked into this hotel for three nights as part of a package. Most of the group had rooms facing the pool area - which was lovely - until dusk when the mosquitoes are out en masse. The facility regularly fogs the place with unknown pesticides so people should be made aware of this. Rooms were adequate (Best Western... more
Despite its name the hotel isn't really close to the Pyramids. The hotel itself is a bit run down bit still ok. The pool and the gardens are great and the rooms are about a western 3-4 * standard. Staff are generally helpful. more
My private tour booked us in this hotel claiming it was 5 star. That might have been true 15 years ago. We stayed 3 nights, the last night transferring to a suite hoping for improvements. Problems: No hot water for shower, low cold water pressure, bathroom door would not shut, cockroaches, lights burned out, tv would not work in suite,... more
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The lobbyarea, breakfast hall and pool area is very nice and comfortable. The outside BBQ eveningtime is very nice as well. We were lucky to see two wonderful egyptian weddings in the resort area. The bellboy working there was really pushing us to take a taxi with a man working in/for the... more
This hotel is highly recommended by all travel agents as a 5 star hotel but it looks nowhere like a 5 star hotel. The gardens are badly maintained, the bathroom doors do not close, showers do not work. They have a huge swimming pool which I did not use. The only saving grace was the food which was good more
