We stayed here for three nights at the start of a three week tour of Egypt. I'll write the review in terms of pro's and cons, rather than an epistle! Pros's It's very close to the pyramids and you get a fabulous view of them from the roof top bar. Staff are extremely helpful, courteous and friendly, especially the lads... more

My partner found ants in the bathroom and a pumpkin seed in his bed. The breakfast spread that was put on was excellent although we both go a upset stomach from the food. We know it was the hotel food as we didn't eat anywhere else because there's nothing else much around. The location is very handy to the pyramids. more

We stayed here for four nights. Very much a transit hotel for sightseeing.Clean, tidy and soulless. We found the food acceptable, breakfast buffet extensive, Italian by the pool OK, Thai disappointing, best meal we had was at the roof top restaurant. We did not get ill, which is a big plus for any hotel in Egypt! Staff friendly. As said... more

Hotel Lobby is beautiful, though rooms are not 5 star luxury, nice pool. But area is isolated and surronding area is very very dierty. But careful with some Porter (Bell Boys), do not use taxi/lemosine which stationed at the entrance of the Hotel. Be aware ! Everywhere Egptian cheaters, u will not find a single helpful person around the hotel.... more

Me an my wife stayed there as it was local to the pyramids in Giza, (walking distance). However I would not say it is a 5* as I compared it to a Premier Inn in the UK. The hotel staff are very friendly and are always at hand to help if required. Food is not great, but then there is... more

We had just been on a 7 day Nile cruise on the Sonesta St George, when we flew to Cairo and turned up at the Movenpick. First thoughts were OMG what have we done. It had the feel of an American motel rather than a hotel, got to our room, which was really basic - but clean, if a little... more

We stayed in the Movenpick Giza for three nights in March 2009. On arrival, the outside is not that impressive, but once inside it was what I'd expect from a four star hotel. We stayed in a standard room, which was much larger than most European hotels. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, and the room was airconditioned, with... more

The hotel is very close to the pyramids, but that really cannot be an advantage coz u cannot really see the pyramids from the hotel rooms or anything. It takes forever to get to the main city so the location is not really what I would call an advantage. The rooms are clean but not really comfortable. Definetly not a... more
