This hotel looks great from the street as does the lobby once you reach it several steps below. The rooms however need more than just a coat of paint. They are small, dingy, dirty rugs and curtains, a/c so loud we couldn't sleep. No view of the Nile though it's ON the Nile. Horrid little place. Would never go there... more

Booked this through GTA Hotels and it was billed 4 stars. Would be generous to call it a 2 star. Sofa was filthy, first night found 3 inch cockroach, toilet ran all night, refridgerator did not work, and no Nile view as advertised. On top of this, though GTA had billed our credit card a month earlier, they had made... more

Despite reading some very bad reviews about the Isis we gave it a try because of it's relatively cheap price & it's location. We were not disappointed as our expectations were not high. The location is great[right on the Nile bank] & the view from both our room & the pool bar area were fabulous. The buffet in the restuarant was fine[actually... more

Having just spent two nights at the Isis Hotel, I thought that I would contribute a review. Reading through what previous reviewers have written, opinions seem to vary wildly! Overall, I enjoyed my short stay. I booked online (through another website) and managed to get a room (on a B&B basis) for only 17 pounds sterling a night - pretty... more

Two pool areas are a real plus for this hotel. The lobby is very spacious and the grounds are beautiful. Accomodations are a little bit tired and the location of the elevator can make for a very long walk to your room. more

This was quite simply one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed at! This was our third trip to egypt and we had always stayed in really nice places for very reasonable prices. When we arrived we were greeted and taken to our room. It had two small beds in it. The beds were made up of a base... more

I couldn't understand why the Isis hotel was so inexpensive...considering that it was right on the corniche. I took a chance and booked through Orbitz. I had not planned on remaining in the hotel room much anyhow. I own a few Timeshare Resorts...so whenever I want comfort in a resort-like setting, I use those. However, my sight-seeing vacations are different.... more

For a cheep hotel with some bad reviews we were pleasently surprised. Rooms were good (sheets were rough but clean). the little italian resterant had nice pizza and pasta at cheep prices. (cabonarra was poor though). Location was great. we had a good stay here and the laundry service was good as well. more

We were booked to stay 1 night at the ISIS, through our tour guide. The hotel was dated and badly needed renovation to bring it upto to the 21st century - an example was the phone in the room was a "dial" phone, not a key touch phone! The only good thing was the location - it was on the... more

I am surprised at all of the negative reviews about the Isis. We enjoyed it. We originally booked three nights in Aswan at the Sara Hotel, but after one night, we decided we could not stay at the Sara (for various reasons). Instead, we decided to try the Isis. It was a little more expensive, but they accepted credit cards... more
