We used this hotel as a day stop after a Nile cruise before catching the overnight train back to Cairo. The rooms seemed OK, nothing fancy but relatively clean. Would be fine for a night or 2. Location is pretty good, in a street that runs off the main market street so easy to access the markets. Plenty of banks... More

Do not stay in this Hellhole. My wife and I were booked into this hotel by our taxi driver who organised it for an overnight visit before we went on to Abu simbel during the two weeks of our honeymoon. We arrived at this hotel, and checked in.Went up in a lift that looked like something out of Are you being served. We were... I stayed here with my wife, and 4 children, ages 22 to 5 years old. Had 2 room #515 &518. Were put here by our tour operator, as a part of Egypt tour. Great location. Walk to Nile river, Faluka ride and McDonalds. Lobby is pretty decent. Saw a lot of europian tourists. Breakfast was not bad.Rooms are old, small,... More

We stayed for two nights here and were satisfied enough for a low budget hotel. The rooms were cramped with no natural light, but clean enough. The main problem was that the drainage in the shower did not work, meaning we had to stand half in and half out when we showered. However the hotel is in a good location... More

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night in Aswan. The lobby looked clean and the staff were helpful. However, the rooms were definitely not upto 3* standards. The bathroom was unclean and the flush didn't work. The carpet and room decor was begging for an update. I do NOT recommend this hotel unless you don't mind a low budget... More

This hotel was filthy. The room carpeting was encrusted with dirt, the bed did not have pillows, but had one long round bolster with a cover that looked like it had last been changed during the reign of Ramses the II. The bathroom was dirty, hair left on the fixtures. Based on the room condition, I didn't gamble on trying... More

The location was good. Our explore,uk tour booked us here and the rooms were as bad as I read before arriving. Our shabby looking room was large with three twin beds. One had a reasonable mattress, the rest were past worn out. The pillows were hard rocks. I went without a pillow and used a sleep sack. The bathroom was... More

After reading trip advisor and some of the negative comments that were posted we have decided to say our bit. we found this hotel to be very good value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly and the security guys on the door were a good laugh. the rooms were adequate for the price - the air-conditioning was effective.... More

A decent hotel based on Egyptian standards. Stayed here while in Aswan for only one night. Apparrently popular with egyptian tour companies because there were many different tour groups staying there. Features a nice large lobby with comfortable seating and pool. Rooms were clean and basic, nothing plush. Staff friendly and helpful. Close walking distance to the Bazaar. Aswan was... More

Note: The pictures shown for this hotel are not of the cleopatra hotel in Aswan.. yet again another hotel stayed in as part of a Geckos tour. This hotel is decent enough for a low budget hotel. It's not up to our cleaning standards but it was fairly clean (and cleaner than most other hotels in Egypt). The lobby is... More
