we have stayed at this hotel two times and going back again in october/november we think for singles or couples this has to be the best hotel in luxor. its quiet and clean with extremely pleasant staff who look out for their guests, in big hotels you get lost in the hustle and bustle with all the big tour groups... more

hotel was wat u expected from a budget one, rooms not a bad size & cleaned daily, with clean towels everyday also, the hotel is in a pretty noisy location on the main road, we got used to it in the second wk, this was a quiet time so no idea wat it would b like in the busy times,... more

Had a great holiday in Luxor,Egypt. The Saint Joseph hotel is basic but so is the price. The location of the hotel is great, close to restruants, shops and a temple. I think the hotel is great for couples and families with older children. A great base for exploring Luxor. more

Arrived at 09.30 after 3 hr train journey from Aswan,Reception area was dingy and full of touristy looking people. Showed to our rooms mine had a view of the sewage works and a little bit of the Nile!! Power sockets in the room were hangin off the wall and there was a pipe in the bathroom with a jagged edge,sticking... more

Was not expecting much after reading other reviews and that was pretty much what we got. It is very basic but fairly comfortable and fairly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is very central for seeing all the sights and getting around. View from our room was over the sewage works though! Did not spend too much time... more

if you want to visit luxor for the first time this is the place to stay rooms are basic but very clean food is very good and cheap views over the nile from every room, if you need a touch of home arkwrights minimarket 2 mins away run by angie from devon is for you, we would stay again. kev... more

We decided at the last moment to go to Egypt for xmas and New year for 2 weeks, we have never been before and didn't know what to expect, we booked 2 weeks before hand and we got the holiday for £250 each in total, flights hotel B&B, we weren't sure what we were in for! BUT its been one... more

This was my third time in Egypt but first time alone!! i am 18 and can say it was a wonderful experience staying in St Joseph, i didn't feel lonley or anything, all the staff were wonderful and caring. and also Thomsons Rep "Hatem" helped me to find work in Egypt for next year........ so thankyou for everything!! more

We have just returned from a week in Luxor, staying at St. Joseph's Hotel. The hotel was nice; comfy room (with fridge!) and the food in the roof top bar was excellent with a view of the River Nile. We have just spent 2 weeks in Luxor at the Saint Joseph Hotel,this has to be our best holiday yet.The hotel was great,very clean,friendly staff & good food.The views from the hotel rooftop are amazing.The hotel pool is on the rooftop,great little sun trap,the pool is very clean & a good size.All the rooms have a fridge & air conditioning... more
