We stayed in Al Moudira for a full week to relax, enjoy the sun and visit a couple of historic sites in Luxor. It is unbelievable what Zeina realized in the dry desert on Luxor's westbank! This perfect boutique retreat is really a "hide-out from a thousand fairy tales". Every detail in the architecture offers something special, Arabic antiques, specific... More

This place is unlike any other hotel in which we've ever stayed. Words can't properly explain -- check out the pics. Service was good, laundry was very inexpensive and the restaurant was good. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast in the sun in the outdoor area. The rooms are absolutely enormous and have very high ceilings. There is free wifi in... More

We stayed at this hotel in November 2012 on a friends recommendation. Maybe our expectations were too high but we were a little dissappointed with this hotel. The concept was lovely and the decor reminiscent of earlier times but somehow it felt a bit tatty. The gardens needed weeding, the fountains weren't working and some of the furniture was in... More

From the moment we walked up the path into the lobby, everything was magical. Absolutely every focal point is a work of art, showing the remarkable eye for detail of the owner. We couldn't stop taking pictures whereever we looked : the patios, the pool, the poolhouse, the vegetation, the lobby, the courtyard, the lounge, the restaurant, it is all... More

This is one of my favorite hotels in Luxor and it's in my opinion one of the best design hotels in all Egypt. It is located on the West Bank, close to the Valley of the Kings. It is highly recommended for: - Honeymooners. - Travellers who would like to enjoy a memorable stay away from the crowd of Luxor.... More

A perfect retreat during our trip to Egypt; quiet and relaxing. Interesting architecturally, loved the way the buildiings were laid out and decorated. Our room was huge and airy with an enormous and very comfortable bed. Lovely gardens and pool with plenty of loungers and shade. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and very friendly. Slight drawback is the... More

There's a visual treat every way you look during your stay at the Al Moudira Hotel. The decor is consistent and varied; the colours work well and the staff are there to help. I am so delighted we found this place and enjoyed everywhere our heads turned. Our room was generous in size with a gorgeous domed ceiling; bay seating... More

The beauty of this place - the ochre arches, grand courtyards & trelisses covered in tumbling bougainvillea - makes it one of the world's great, architecturally remarkable hotels: and it is currently affordable. Revisiting in Sepember 2011, the tourism figures in Luxor as a whole are down, for no good reason: post-revolutionary Egypt is incredibly safe. But the Moudira continues... More

I am part of a private archeological company where we do work in the Valley of the Kings. I have gotten to know Egypt pretty well and I will not stay anywhere else in Luxor! Many of the other high rated Hotels are located right in the heart of Luxor where it is loud, the traffic is terrible, and people... More
