Masai Lodge has a potential to grow. They seem to be sitting on their opportunity because it felt like they are not putting in enough effort to make the place a must-go. It seems to be a popular place for conferences. Yeah, you caught me red handed because I, too, was attending a conference there :-) Anyway the food is... More

My wife and I just came back to the country. Initially we wanted to go away from the city, perhaps to the coast, but with the few days remaining, we would spend so much time traveling. A friend recommended Masaai lodge and we decided to try it out. The receptionist was so welcoming (contrary to another lodge one on the... More

I love Masai Lodge, had been there often but never stayed over. This time i did. Was great. I called and booked, the receptionist was warm and welcoming, food was great though in my perspective they were too busy attending to larger corporate group so the service was poor. Accomodation wise rooms are super, like the simplicity and the furniture... More

My daughter just celebrated her birthday wiht 25 friends and family from US, England and France. Guests were warned that accommodation is simple, but in a marvelous location. And everyone agreed that their experience totally exceeded all expectations. We went during the week so had the lodge to ourselves. We were blown away by the activiites and food. We had... More

All of us, from time to time, need a plunge into freedom and novelty, after which routine discipline will seem delightful by contrast. yeah? If you are looking for solitude and tranquillity, the type you can hear a pin drop, Masai lodge would grant you that wish. As a couple we actually had a great time back in September when... More

We stayed at this lodge two days before our safari. The rooms were spacious and the views spectacular. The gounds are wonderful, you can see the animals across the river that live in the park. But beware, just because you have reservations DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE A PLACE TO STAY!! We were to come back to the lodge after... More

Re: Our Stay At the Masai Lodge. Sorry to say - It had been our worst experience at the Maasai lodge ever from many holidays we have had. To start with practically we had no room allocation at all. We had booked 4 room and all was confirmed. We had also made 50% deposit payment. We were to check in... More

The road to the lodge from Ongata Rongai, past the Nazarene University, is part-tarmaced but ends quite early then is rough all the way. It's really not a problem, there are plenty of worse roads, and it gives you the feel that you are on safari and not still within Nairobi! Rooms are quite comfortable, individual buildings through the grounds,... More
