Stayed at this hotel for one night before setting out on our safari. After having just landed from a night flight with no sleep on board we were hoping for a bed but who checks out at 6 in the morning? Still there was plenty of tea and coffee and the Rhino Safaris rep took the time to do their... more

The Jacaranda is a comfortable hotel, with excellent service and a very pleasant restaurant, but it is plagued by a disco across the road which continues - very loudly - until 4am at night. The hotel is across the road from the Sarin Centre shopping mall, which is very convenient. There is a free shuttle bus to & from Nairobi,... more

However, there is an open air bar right in front of the building (owned by the same hotel) which plays live music, very loudly, until around 4.00 am, not great if you are a light sleeper and have an early start... more

We stayed here for one night before embarking on our safari. The reception area is very nicely done with a high ceiling and comfy chairs. Our room was clean and comfortable - my only criticism would be that the vents above the door and in the bathroom let in insects and noise. We were left two bottles of water in... more

We are a military family traveling a lot, we weren't impressed at all, with the location of the hotel, rooms and personnel conduct. We are fairly young, (27/29) I do suggest young people to go somewhere else; in the hotel there was a lot of family with kids and there wasn't too much to do a night. We had to... more

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in July, one night either side of our safari and thought it was a lovely comfortable hotel. The meals were very good, including the buffet breakfast, lunch at the pool side and dinner in the safari restaurant and the staff were friendly and helpful. Across the road is the shopping centre -... more

This hotel was not bad, but there was nothing great about it either. About middle of the road for African hotels. more
