I stayed at the Silver Springs for 5 nights on business. I found the hotel to be very clean, but found all kinds of little annoyances that added up to a poor experience. No hot water for showering (a few degrees cooler than lukewarm) Hot water knob in shower kept falling off - I guess it really wasn't needed anyway... more

I think it is important to remember that whils one travels to developing countries the standard will differe from what one is used to elsewhere. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a warm welcome from security and front line staff. Got a good room with a four poster bed, wish I had brought my other half, she would have enjoyed it. This hotel was a peaceful haven away from the apparent chaos of downtown Nairobi. At least 3 security guards at the drive in gate, a doorman and always 3 staff at reception.
