Had this been somewhere else I would have been most upset. The food is good but not great. The rooms are average at best. Functional but average if not poor. This was our base for the safari which was the best we have ever one bar none. We would go back because of the safari. more

My husband and I hae just spent 10 days at Mara Serena and had a fabulous time. the accommodation superb. Food apart from meat sometimes a little tough excellent. Staff sop friendly and helpful. Two game drives a day with Oramat and George fantastic (saw big 5) would recommend highly. more

The Lodge has the most wonderful views, comfortable and well appointed rooms, a beautiful pool and a great food. Service is impeccable. The bar area is a little cramped and the restaurant a bit crowded and noisy, but being in one of those noisy parties we didn't mind that! more

We reserved two rooms 5 months in advance. When we arrived, we were told they were overbooked. They put us in very bad, substandard rooms--rooms not even listed in their comprehensive hotel brochure.
