This used to be a wonderful hotel, but now its in total neglect!! save for the friendly staff. The bathroom water runs out while showering, no drinking water only miserable looking flasks with salty water in the bathroom!! The rooms will do with total refurbishment. been 2 years since i was at the reef, and i must say it has improved! they offer superb air packages from nairobi! conference facilities - clean but fans and a/c were not adequate and abit noisy (reducing concentration which is so hard in that heat anyways) food - good selection and fresh..plates are warmed too! rooms - average amenities... more
I first thought the hotel was a bit dismal but then looking at all the staff with beautiful smiley faces that soom went, greeted with refreshing glass of cold fruit juice at reception and were able to check in right away. My partner and i came here for 10days, we absolutely loved it! its a 3 star, small hotel so dont expect a huge complex, however it has everything u need. The Hotel was nice , but i was treated like a prisoner my girlfriend who is local was treated rudely by security . I was constantly followed by security everywhere . They do not allow guests pariculary Kenyan women .The exception to this is if you are a western women you come come and go as much as you like... more
