The Peninsula is located near the Forbidden City, a pedestrian mall and a subway stop. Although it is expensive, the service and rooms are top notch. The Hilton is only a block and a half away and offers the same perks at a lower price. more

The Peninsula is one of the old grand hotels in Beijing, and it shows. But the hotel staff is perhaps the most friendly and professional in town. The food is absolutely tops. If you don't mind paying more for these while getting a not so special and smallish room for your money, then it is highly recommended. more
