The previous reviews mentioning the location were on the money, this place is remote. Without Chinese I think it would be impossible to get to/from this hotel. No taxi drivers knew the hotel even when I showed them the card, every driver had to call to get directions. Furthermore the traffic is so bad in Beijing that location is key.... more

the Temple of Heaven hotel is approximately 10 minutes drive south of the Temple of Heaven attraction. Its' located in a residential area but has a nearby supermarket (signposted outside the hotel) and restaurants within a few hundred yards. I don't know if the supermarket had any English speakers.
