I was late getting into town because of a delayed flight. I have a HomeInn frequent traveler card and this branch was right by the airport bus terminal. I expected the usual room: clean, fairly quiet and inexpensive. It was all of these things, but not as inexpensive as I expected.
First of all, don't bother trying to book in advance through Expedia or here on tripadvisor. All you get is "no rooms available for the date you requested." Go to ctrip or elong.
The hotel's proximity to the airport bus terminal may be why they feel they can charge a comparative premium for their rooms (190 rmb/night compared to 131 for other Home Inn properties in Chongqing). The rooms are what I've come to expect from the brand: small, but clean, Heat is reasonable if you know how to use the air conditioner remote control. As usual, the neighborhood smells permeate the room, so be prepared. The staff speaks minimal English. All an all, I'd avoid this unit unless you have no choice. more
