Our agent said he could get us a "five star" hotel in nanjing for $60 per night, so we figured we'd splurge. I don't usually stay in 5-star hotels, especially in China, so maybe I'm not the best judge of things, but I have to say I expected more. Nice, clean, free broadband, ok gym, excellent prices in hotel restaurants (japanese, chinese, western buffet), fast check in and out. Ask for a room on the front side and you will get a nice view of Nanjing. The executive floor room is not worth the extra money in my opinion, unless you really need a toilet that will wash your... more

We stayed for 2 nights as part of our Kuoni China tour. This is a modern hotel which meets all the internationally accepted standards. Our room on the 19th floor had excellent views of the city. It was very clean and spacious with all the expected facilities. more

We stayed here for only night as part of our China tour in October/November 2004. The Grand is a fine hotel with excellent rooms and service.
