Good Hotel, located close to the touristy Confucious Temple area, so convenient in one aspect and a half hour drive away from Nanjing 1912 and downtown. I was there in April 2007. Room OK, but bad service in the restaurant: you can't leave one moment your glass or your fork otherwise a waitress come like a hawk and pick it up away. You cannot have a relaxed lunch that way. more

I was pleasantly surprised by the Mandarin Garden Hotel. The rooms were large and very clean, and the bed was a true king-sized bed, not two single beds pushed together like in most Chinese hotels. I had great service at this hotel. Our room was huge with a split shower/tub bathroom. We were in the heart of the shops, canal area, restaurants, nearby convenience store...
