We stayed at the Temple Lodge in the middle of a two week stay in Bali while we attended a wedding. We stayed in the recently built Spice suite which was absolutely stunning. As we were traveling with our two young children we were pleased to be at the back of the property away from the gorgeous cliff. Our kids... more

Great food, yoga and surf. This is a fantastic boutique hotel. Mario is an avid surfer and Christiana a wonderful yoga instructor. Both are extremely knowledgeable of the local area, extremely helpful and overall great people. The Temple Logde has the best view for a wonderful light show that is organized on a weekly basis down the coast. A must... more

For those who like 5 star, you'll need to look elsewhere. For the more worldly travellers, who like a family run/ communal style of accommodation, it doesn't come much more spectacular. It is a bit of bumpy road in but, perched on the clifftops, highly individual villas made out of driftwood and materials from the land are clustered around a... more

Bali is an incredibly special place and one my husband and I have visited many times together and more recently with our two children. We have stayed in a variety of accommodation over the years from very cheap to 5 Star hotels and can say without a doubt that Temple Lodge would be hard to beat. Freshly baked bread, European... more

If you are looking for a perfect place for surf AND relaxation, this is the place to be. Temple Lodge is located on the cliffs, just in front of the famous surfspots "Impossibles". To the right you can see the breaks "Bingin" and "Dreamland". If it is flat you rent a bike and drive ove to "Ulwathu" oder "Greenball". There... more

We stayed 2 weeks at the temple lodge and those days made our great trip to Indonesia perfect. When we arrived after 1 1/2 weeks of "hard" travelling we first of all enjoyed the clean, cosy rooms with the great views (Gecko - or Coral Cave suite highly recommended!). Each bungalow has its own "theme" - for example the "Driftwood... more

I just wanted to write a quick review of this place having been shocked by another which slated the hotel and the owner - Mario. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel with no atmosphere, stuffy staff and an experience excactly the same as every other 'westernised' hotel in Bali then this ISN'T the place for you! The... more

We stayed at the Temple Lodge for a week in September this year. What a beautiful place! The lodge is situated at the top of a cliff that provided us with the most magnificant views of Bali's west coast line and beyond. Each morning we would gaze out at the ocean and think about how lucky we were. There is... more

I stayed at Temple Lodge for six nights, as part of a yoga retreat group. Our group occupied the entire lodge for the week. Temple Lodge (also known as “Mario’s”) is situated on the top of the cliffs overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean, on the west coast of the Bukit Peninsula of Bali. The surf breaks of Impossibles, Bingin, and... more
