It's value for money. It's kind like a house with few rooms depend on the tourists quantity. The room is spacious. There is living room too. The room is a bit smelly but in acceptable range. There is hot shower but you will have to adjust regularly. There are a lot of plantation including coffee, strawberries and other more. You... More

This place is in picturesque government-owned coffee plantation. The economy rooms are small but reasonable for the price. The views of the inside of the ancient crater are lovely. Security can organise a pre dawn motorbike lift up to the kawah ijen hike point.

Arabica was a part of our package to Ijen, since there are no other places around this crater we weren't left with much choice. They first showed us a terrible room which was musty and smelled mildly of garbage, when i requested for a change of room they first said all other rooms were occupied, but then later gave us... stayed at this place the night before visiting Ijen, as part of a package deal. when you arrive the complex looks quite charming. but when entering the room it doesn't look so charming. no windows, small, not to clean and uncomfortable beds. the boiler looks like 50 years old....and it probably is. when flushing to toilet, the whole bathroom fluds..... The lodge is nicely placed in a coffee plantation. At the reception you can get a free cup of coffee, and this is the best coffee I got until now in Indonesia (most of the time you get Nescafe coffe isn't it?). They have rooms of different cathegories and prices. The best are in the main building (noisy), the worst... More

Staff: Unacceptable ignorant. Breakfast: Poor and not good at all. Rooms: If you are unlucky you stay in a room where the automatic waterpump is just infront of your window and starts running everytime some guest in some room switch on the water. No extra blankets, even it is freezing cold in this altitude. As married with an Indonesian (Balinese)... More

Nice surrounding, beautiful view of Kawah Ijen. Staff is useless. Bring warm clothes because it gets cold at night and you won't get a spare blanchet unless you stay in a suite. No towels available. The only good thing is that there is hot water in every room, also economy for 150.000 rp. But check the shower first. Ours wasn't... More

Some reasons to don't stay there: - staff is definitly not interested in your guest, despite the fact of shower did'nt wark at all they laughted a lot saying "use a mandi". - food is expensive and it is only rice, chicken and a juice, no menu "a la carte". They said there were no warungs in the village: it... More

It's a excellent location to go to Ijen crater, we stayed there because a booked tour. Restaurant service can forget your orders, no selection for food, food quantity just and staff was rude (They are not rude when you are paying...). There nothing to choose, they only have a kind of menu for 50.000. If you're visiting Ijen crater and... More

How was Arabica Homestay a disappointment? Let me count the ways. 1. It's not a Homestay. It's a sprawling, slummy hotel. 2. The rooms are damp, small, and filthy. I know, I tried a few before giving up. 3. The staff is rude and inept. They forgot our dinner order. Twice. They laughed when I complained we had been waiting... More
