It was a busy weekend and we should not have waited until the night before we arrived in Singapore to begin our search for a hotel room. We tried a half dozen places before this one said yes.

The front desk of this cash-only hotel which is located just beside the Little India Metro Station feels like a dorm or hostel. We were asked to pay 100 Singapore Dollars up front for a "Family Room" (a room with two double beds) with an attached shower/toilet (one room with shower, toilet and sink, no curtain; leave the toilet paper outside the bathroom when showering or it will get soaked). The stiff vinyl bed pillows were in clean pillowcases. The sheets on the mattresses seemed clean. We returned to the front desk to ask for a top sheet or blanket to cover ourselves with at night. The friendly man at the desk went down the hall and emerged with an oversized towel for this purpose. When asked for one for the second bed as well, he pleasantly went to fetch another... more
