The whole experience in Prince of wales was shocking. I woke up for shower one morning and found the shower flooded with water and there is a pile of floating poo in one of the shower room. There wasn't any staff working that early and in fact no staff to watch the hostel throughout night. I should have known that... more
It's always a regret when we receive a bad review, but in response to this one I hope it will be noted that a backpacking guest defecating in the shower and blocking it's drainage as a result is not a usual occurrence and that we naturally dealt with it as soon as it was brought to our attention, fully disinfecting...
I've stayed 3 days at the POW, and it was not enough. That place is so cool. More than just an clean, recently renovated backpacker's hostel, is also a nice Aussie bar, with good draught (cheap for Singapore) and live music. Thanks for your comments. Judging by the date you wrote your review you probably stayed during or just after renovations. I am pleased to say that we now have plenty of storage space for bags. Unfortunately plumbing issues in a listed building such as ours prevent an additional sink where you suggest. Cheers!
