Writing this review from my room in the Regent Singapore. Couldn't sleep because the non-smoking room smelled like a cigar bar, due to the excessive smoke coming through the A/C vent. one of the best transit hotels. the breakfast is top quality, everything is made fresh & the Italian restaurant basilico is fantastic. also is quite near orchard road which is the most commercial road for shopping, eating or just wandering around. we combined it with Malaysia(first trip) & new Zealand - French Polynesia(second trip). top choice! more

We stayed with Regent for a only a couple of days. Learned on arrival that only one of our rooms were ready but were told all was good after 2 hours. This wasn't so. The Regent has to be one of the top hotels in Singapore . It is luxurious and in an old world way , so makes for a very elegant hotel . It is well located , at one end of Orchard Road so one can walk to all the shopping . We did not eat in so can't comment on... more

If you have small children, you should select another hotel. The rooms are accessed via glass-sided air bridges with sides that are much too low. An adult carrying a child could easily topple over into the abyss, as could any adult taller than about 175cm carrying anything over waist level. A child could easily climb over and plummet.
