Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I note the complaint about the email scam but want to point out that the hotel contacted me to say booking.com had been hacked and I was to ignore emails. Surely this is an issue with booking.com? I was however on arrival here asked for a balanced due whereas I had already paid in full but when I pointed that out it was quickly resolved. On another issue though...there is furniture (bed bases and mattresses) stored in the stairways which surely mean fire exits are not clear?

The location of this hotel is amazing and the rooms are exactly what I expected for the price I paid it’s an inner city hotel so pretty small but clean and functional. The reason I marked so low was because of this hotel and BOOKING.COM I had to cancel 2 credit cards because of an EMAIL SCAM !!!! So be very aware, I normally am but fell for this one. ( won’t allow me to attach screenshots ) When I tried to message the hotel they just ignored me and sent out a generic response each time and when I tried to talk to someone the seriously miserable bald man on the front desk quite simply said “NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM” Such a shame as apart from being scammed I enjoyed our 4 nights here.

I booked under my initial as given name as it is very normal in my country. The front desk wanted to charge me $100 to change it. I do not think it is reasonable and they refused to check me in. All my other details are correct. I have to rebook with another hotel last minute and they empathized with me and provided me with an upgrade.

The worst hotel ever stayed! Couldn’t believe hotel like such still exist. It’s wrong from all angles, extremely small room for a queen + single bed, basically the bed was cornered from edge to edge and we have to put luggage underneath the bed. Toilet were extremely small and you will feel suffocating staying in the room. Sound proof were bad and the whole old and musky smell starts from the moment you enter the hotel.

Great location however we expected more from the hotel from the pics on booking.com. Rooms were very small and the bathroom flooded as there was no door on the shower. There waa barely space to put bags and walk around the room. The pool area was nice however. One of the biggest issues was lack of local knowledge from the staff. Couldn’t answer simple questions about the local surrounds let alone Singapore in general or public transport. No information provided by the hotel wither which we found very unusual

Were sceptical after reading the reviews. But were ok. Done many hotels in Singapore, so have some comparable. Reception; yes still some old smoke smell in reception and you need to carry luggage up a slope. Happy to help and quick check in. Room: small but not smallest I been to in Singapore. Can place bag underneith the bed. Cleaning ok,probaly a refurnished room but still a bit worn. But ok for single/couples. Very close to Clark/Boats quay.

Reserved three nights at the hotel, didn't stay a single one. The rooms are tiny and the staff are not helpful or welcoming in the slightest. The photos are very deceptive and my partner and I opted to find another hotel rather than stay here.

Where to start... Check In - When we arrived the we were informed that the rate from booking.com could not be honoured as I had entered the wrong CVC number. I explained to the receptionist that i had sent an email to the hotel as I had no conformation that the booking had been a success, I had previously had a notification that my card details had been attempted and declined by my bank, I said they should have contacted me at this point as they had all of my details on record but apparently they did not receive my email. Due to the fact we had a great amount of luggage I chose to accept that this could be my fault and paid approximately 25% more than the agreed booking.com rate. We eventually got checked into the Robertson Quay Hotel after a long process. We noticed the data interior of the hotels communal spaces and lifts but dumped the bags in the room and chose to explore Singapore, we returned to our room later that evening we started to notice the deteriorated state of our room. In Room 318 I found an exposed light fitting where wires could be seen. The next joy was found when we laid down on the bed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable almost like lying on uneven concrete. The bed linen and towels within the room should have been replaced a long time ago. We found them to have a grey appearance and the towels had frayed edges. We stayed for a total of 4 nights in the hotel and chose to put the experience down to bad choices and suck it up!! It was not until we were waiting in the lobby on check out another couple were fed the same script that there booking from the third party was unsuccessful due to card details and the rate could not be offered. I fully believe this is how this hotel operates, they will more than likely cancel the booking with the agent so no commission is paid and they benefit with the full rate.

I booked 3 nights with this hotel for 2 rooms. I spent 905USD. I checked in and found out that this hotel is in very poor condition. The smell is very bad and the rooms are very small. The hotel doesn't do good maintenance. This hotel is not 3 star hotel but 1 star. The staffs are not friendly and not helpful. We decided to leave and book Paradox Hotel nearby which is much better. We stayed only 1 night and they don't return me the money for the rooms we didn't use.

Location is good. Standard room is terribly small and cramped. No desk or working space. Tiny cupboard and no space to open 2 medium sized suitcases. Electricity in the bathroom went down many times (shortcut?!). Lobby is very small and noisy so no alternative for working space. In general, more a hostel than hotel.
