Chose to break the long journey between Auckland and Heathrow with a 12 hour break in SIngapore and found the Terminal 1 Ambassador transit hotel wonderful. Price includes the gorgeous pool and gardens, which is right next to the rooms. Alovely way to relax between flights, slept for 9 hours, swam the rest of the time. Would really reccomend it!... more

We were in transit from Perth to Vietnam and had 8 hours between flights so having a base and somewhere to rest was really a necessity. The hotel is just perfect for that. We arrived at SIN [Singapore Airport just after 8PM local time and didn’t have a flight out till 6:40 the next morning. Clearing immigration, collecting bags, passing through customs, taxi to hotel, check-in / checkout, taxi back to airport, breakfast, flight & bag check-in, immigration again would have taken 2+ hours time better spent working or resting. While not a typical Asian hotel with all the trimmings, The ambassador was a great choice for a long layover, especially as my wife got a bug on the plane and a good bed was well appreciated. The staff were very helpful during our short stay and are to be commended. more
