My wife and I, plus our two daughters stayed at the Perak Hotel for 2 nights. We had connecting rooms on the second floor. We arrived from the airport via MRT at Bugis station and walked from there. We arrived looking hot and bothered, so the receptionist poured us glasses of juice. Very welcome, I can tell you! Although we... more

Even though I arrived after midnight, I was given a friendly welcome at this small, privately owned hotel. And, even better, there was bottled water and cans of cold beer in the room's mini-fridge! The Perak Hotel is spotlessly clean, and in an interesting location. There is a mosque about half a block away, and I heard the call to... more

I read the reviews of this hotel and marvel at those that are very positive. For me, this was a poor choice and the room was at the lower level with virtually no windows (even though I specifically asked for full windows). The receptionist seemed quite vague and to suggest that the breakfast is anything more than the basics is... more

charming hotel in little India with plenty of good cheap restaurants and pubs around the corner. (Try Apollo Banana Leaf restaurant). The hotel's charm is that it is an old chinese house modernised yet preserving the old style. Friendly and helpfull staff. Breakfast is included in price but don't expect too much. There is no lift so it is a... more

This hotel is ideally located for those interested in sightseeing Little India. On a more secluded street, a quieter haven from its bustling core. The staff are sweet and most kind, to the point of becoming friends. Helpful in finding good places to eat and drink. Rooms are clean, tidy and of generous size for the solo traveller or couple.... more

Very helpful and personable hotel staff. Great little breakfast buffet. Good WiFi. Clean rooms. Located between two MRT stations, so easy access to everywhere. Surrounded by a tremendous variety of food and shopping, ranging from upscale to the local ethnic markets. Out the door to the left if you want to walk the streets of Little India; to the right... more

The best thing about it is the location, great indian food nearby and I loved visiting the different indian temples. We asked for a quiet room and the small superior room seemed quiet by day (Friday afternoon). At night the booming beats of an indian dance club were too audible, we might have checked it out, but needed to catch... more

Having just stayed two nights in a suite in the Nirwana Beach Hotel in Bintan, Indonesia, our initial reaction to our deluxe triple room in the Perak Hotel was not very positive. The room was cramped with a double, a single and a baby cot. We stayed in room 302 which is the biggest room they have. My husband had... more

We had gone to Singapore for work for a few days. The rooms were literally a hole in the wall. I still wonder how they managed to fit 2 single beds, a TV, a fridge and a table into that size of a room. The location wasn't that great either. It was located in the middle of Little India which... more
