We were greeted by a very helpful owner who collected us from the bus station. However, after this our stay was most unpleasant. The cleanliness of our room and bathroom were awful, with visible signs of prior users and their remains! The sheets had clearly not been changed. The room smelt of damp and the facilities were generally in need of modernisation. Our bathroom was falling apart. We were assured that in the morning we would receive a free transfer to the bus station by the owner´s father, however the host family knew nothing about this and put us in a taxi. When we came to pay we were charged more than what the original booking stated online and they wouldn´t take account of our online deposit. It therefore became one of the most expensive night´s stay for the worst hostel in South America. We were so unhappy with the stay that we just left! Apart from the owner who speaks good English and offers tours, we would not recommend this hostel. more
