We stayed here twice during a trip and both times, in different rooms, the noise from the street was very disturbing. Staff we're proficient, room service good enough for a snack, rooms comfortable, but that noise - late at night and on the second trip early in the morning due to some strike action. Not their fault but the sound... more

We had 2 double rooms and one single room for our family. The rooms were clean and modern in style, very comfortable. The staff was helpful and took time to help us. Perfect location very close to the center of Santiago and yet not in the middle of the most busy streets. more

Stayed here for 3 nights prior to a cruise. Is an older buidling but has recently been renovated and is full of bright, cheerful colours. It is a three star hotel so you can't except deluxe standards. Rooms are small but clean; quiet; and include a free buffet breakfast which is perfectly acceptable. Some English speaking stations on the TV.... more

As indicated in many of the other reviews this is an older hotel which has given its rooms a more modern decor makeover (bright colours etc.). The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful in suggesting places to eat etc. The location is a bit far from the main tourist locations, but the up-side of this... more

Fundador in just on the downtown of Santiago, a perfect position if you have to work there. By night it is not the safest place of Santiago but who knows, you can meet the thiefs everywhere. The hotel is old but reformed. The "new" decoration is dubious, I don't like it. The breakfast is not bad and, with some exceptions,... more

The location is not bad. But it's a old hotel. The rooms are ok but the business center and the restaurant are terrible. There's many tourists...too much noisy. more

The hotel is situated right by the main shopping area and you can walk anywhere from it. They have two doormen that act as security and the front desk is manned by chilians that can speak average english. Enough to understand you and to reply helpfully at least. The entrance and seating in the main part is spacious and easy... more

We stayed at the Fundador during our tour of Santiago, Chile. The hotel is located near the city centre with many sightseeing locations nearby such as Palacio de La Moneda, Museo Catedral Metropolitana, and Cerro Santa Lucía. We were greeted by a charming concierge at the reception desk upon arrival at the hotel. He was very proficient in English, and... more

The hotel has a very good location, It is located at Paris-London neighbourhood, a very beautiful one. But it is essentially old, it is being slowly refurnished. Rooms are nearly destroyed, elevators are old. The AC does not run very good. Breakfast is very poor. more

Date : February 16, 2008 Reviewer : Marc Hendrickx - Belgium We staid in the hotel when we were touring with a group of friends in Chili, The rooms were clean but very small. We had hardly place to put our luggage. The airco was very noicy. But this was nothing compared with what we experienced at dinner. We choice... more
