I read the reviews of Hotel Quito before going. I have to say, I don't understand. The staff is arrogant and not helpful. There are plenty of other safe hotels in the city. Stay away from this one. The worst part about the experience is that the late night staff failed to give us a voucher for breakfast the following... more

My stay was disappointing and the hotel is way over priced. Fellow travelers were shocked at what my friend and I were paying for such a run down hotel/room. We ended up checking out a day early. I went with it because it was recommended in Lonely Planet however I think they are mistaken. more

I stayed at Hotel Quito three times for a couple of days each between parts of another tour I was doing. The service overall was really good and the staff very friendly. The pool and restaurant were really good and I ate in the hotel more often that I expected to because of the quality. The downfall is really the... more

We spent a night on our way to and from the Galapagos, arriving extremely late after a delayed flight. to be cared for by excellent reception service, and early morning departure all handled well. On our way back we had another night and were able to have a lovely breakfast and a superb evening meal...... a very nice experience more

Everything about this hotel was nice. The delicious breakfast is on the top floor, with a wonderful view of the city. The people were very helpful, and spoke English. Nice computer room. The casino is wimpy compared to what I've been to in the U.S., but on a par with other casinos I saw in So. America on this trip. more

The negative things first: When visiting Quito this spring we stayed at this hotel for a total of six nights. Five of these nights had been booked through GAP Adventures and we got a good price. The first night, however, was not in connection with a GAP tour so we had to book it ourselves. I realise that you get... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 separate nights during a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos. We left luggage at the hotel between the different legs on the trip. It is a reasonable, modern hotel with nice rooms, a swimming pool and spa/gym in beautiful gardens and a very good restaurant. There are some shops round the lobby. Aircraft... more

Had this hotel as a base before and after a trip to the Galapagos islands. It is a nice hotel and the location is quite fantastic, with views over the valley. It is facinating to sit in the top floor restaurant and have breakfast (very nice buffee breakfast!) and see how the clouds come rushing up the mountains only to... more

I had a most pleasant stay at Hotel Quito last week. It is in convenient location, clean, quiet with an excellent buffet breakfast in the top floor restaurant overlooking the city. Dinner menu was also top notch. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Staff was very helpful. more

Booked this hotel based on a review in the Lonely Planet and I was very dissapointed. It is an outdated and rundown hotel. My biggest problem aside from the actual appearance of the hotel itself was the service of the staff. They really need to take courses in hospitality as none of them were overly helpful or friendly. There are... more
