I stayed here for a month while I took Spanish classes and explored Quito. I did a ton of research before coming because I had a good size budget and specific needs: I wanted something more upscale than a hostel or 3-star B&B, a place with character, a large apartment-like feel with a kitchen to prepare breakfast, and convenient location.... more

We found this hotel via online reviews as we prefer to stay in small hotels with character. And while the Antinea has sort of a character and is centrally located, the hotel has clearly seen better times. We stayed in one of their hotel rooms and also in an apartment they offer but have to say that both clearly lacked... more

We picked the Antinea after searching the internet and guidebooks. Weren't sure what we'd get but went five days ahead of our trip to Galapagos to spend time in Quito. The owners sent a taxi to pick us up at the Quito airport (our plane arrived at 10 pm and it was very slow getting through customs) who patiently waited... more

We stayed at the Hotel Antinea for 8 nights. We stayed in a room that had a small kitchen. It's nice to have a place with a fridge, as we really loved buying yogurt drinks & sodas for the fridge. This place is coneniently located near several restaurants and only a few minutes walk to the Swiss Hotel where we... more

On a scale of five, this hotel is a six!!! If you want a modern hotel a la Sheraton or Marriott or Hilton, this is not for you. This hotel is different and is possibly the most charming hotel at which we have ever stayed. Our room was large and had a narrow door leading to a small balcony overlooking... more

We stayed an entire week in this small and charming hotel. The first 4 days in a room, with a personal patio, and the last 3 days in an apartment, with a nice balcony. Both rooms were unique, with a lovely decoration, nice paintings, even flowers! Breakfasts were delicious, ask to take them on the patio when it's sunny! The... more

Hotel Antinea in Quito is exquisite. We found it online, and e-mailed the proprietor directly to book the reservation. We only had to stay two nights, but I wish we could've stayed longer. I posted a few photos of the hotel on my blog, katrinawoznicki.blogspot.com. Antinea is in a funky neighborhood, but it's gated, so you have the convenience of... more

The room I stayed in was nice. I loved the fireplace. There was also a little door to a courtyard. The sheets on the bed were really worn out--thousands of little snags in the center. There was old food on my floor from a previous guest. The breakfast was poor and the coffee was served cold. I was very careful... more

We were very pleasantly surprised with the uniqueness and the quality of this small hotel on Juan Rodriquez Street in the Mariscal in Quito. We stayed in one of their small, two floor apartments with small kitchenette. Very quaint with a nice homey feel. We went in the end of May and the room rate was $45. per night. We... more
