Difficult to fault any aspect of the lodge; surpassed expectations. Sacha achieves high standards of food, accommodation and customer service. Most importantly the guided tours could not be faulted. Accompanied by both a native guide and trained naturalist both giving expert sightings and fascinating insights into the inter-relationships between all the jungle elements - people, plants, trees, insects, birds and... more

Before our trip we were doubting of traveling with our 3 children (6, 11, 13 yrs) to the Amazone, but it has been an amazing experience for them and us. Without electronic games they had the time of their life. But be prepared for the long trip to get there. Excellent quality of food, rooms are basic but very comfortable... more

All in all a positive experience but one of their naturalists, Ephrain Lopez, is A DISASTER!!! Most unpleasant, arrogant, lazy, callous and off putting guide we ever seen anywhere. He turned our stay at the Lodge from what could have been great to an O.K. experience. If you go there ask NOT!!!!!!!!! to have him as your guide. more

My husband and I spent four wonderful days at Sacha Lodge in the Ecuadorean Rain Forest. There are lodges and then there is Sacha. They really know how to provide a unique, adventurous, yet comfortable experience in the Amazon jungle. From our guides Gustavo and Poncho, to the chef, to all the staff; the entire focus is on two things:... more

We stayed four nights at Sacha Lodge shortly after arriving in Ecuador. The journey from Quito took a while as the local Coca airport was closed for improvement work which added a couple of hours to the journey. The programme was relaxed but interesting. We started each morning with a wake-up call at 05:30 or 06:00 and had breakfast 30... more

This lodge is a true quality outfit, I was so impressed! The wildlife was amazing and easy to spot thaks to the well trained guides. The lodge was dry, comfortable and mostly bug free, considering the location that is almost a miracle. Be prepared to go with the flow but for good reason- it is very remote and the staff... more

The lodge is vey well run, food excellent given where you are, cabins comfortable and very clean, knowledgeable guides. We had just spent 8 days in the Galapagos where the sealife animals birds etc are everywhere. In the Amazon you have to... more

If you want to experience a rainforest in relative comfort, then this is the place to go. The staff were marvellous - helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean and the food was fresh and tasty. Everything was so well organised and designed to help you make the most of your stay. Wellington boots are provided and were... more

the trip to the lodge was wonderful and exciting but after that it became rather mundane. We were coupled with another couple, whom we did not know and share a native guide and another guide with them. Everyone was very polite. We ate all meals we them so it didnt give us a lot of time to sociliaze with other... more

What a fantastic holiday! Some of the other reviewers have mentioned all major points. i just thought I'd add a few. Boat from Coca takes about 1.5 h and tears along, waterproof useful as you can get wet, you sit in rows of 3 so adjust accordingly as you board (make sure you don't need the loo, the boat would... more
