Decent hostel with large clean rooms, In the heart of the restaurant/nightlife quarter. Bathrooms were clean with lovely hot showers.
They also change travellers cheques for no commission - that's a first for SA!!

This hostal is in the heart of Mariscal (new town). Stayed in room with community bathroom for 1 night and private bathroom for 1 night, and both were great! Very clean, with hot showers (pretty unusual in most cheap places in Ecuador). Some street noise when we stayed in the first room, and beds weren't the best, but overall I would definitely stay here again.
Nice community atmosphere and great cafe as well. Friendly staff.
Definitely recommended!
