We used the associated Hotel Sierra Nevada as our residence while in Quito. Prompt service, excellent breakfast (included) and a colorful hotel all made us feel welcomed and at home. I used while mountain climbing in Ecuador. I arranged my trip using the logistic services of Sierra Nevada Expeditions. The service Freddy and his staff provided my team was excellent.... more

The staff/owners provide a welcoming place to stay while in the Quito, Ecuador area. Breakfast was outstanding, rooms were quite comfortable and staff where available to assist at any time we needed them. I would stay there again when in the area. more

Hey there,I´ve been to Ecuador last october.We stayed in the Sierra Nevada Hotel & Expeditions in Quito.The owner Mr.Freddy Ramirez is a famous Ecuadorian Mountain Guide.I can warmly recommend this family operatet hotel and also his treeking agency.I climbed Iliniza Norte and Cotopaxi. This place is great! They will pick you up at the airport as you go thru customs ($12)...the hotel is a typical Ecuador hotel...nicely furnished. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Give this place and operator a miss! I booked to stay and also climb Cotopaxi with this guy, Freddy. He totally let me down by changing my dates to do the climb which meant I couldn't go. I had even confirmed with him less than two weeks before. The hostel is run down, shabby and dirty - and things don't... more
