Location is very good. Cuenca is easy to get around, walking or by taxi. There is a lot of Condo's being built. Great to see all the restoration going on. The buildings are so majestic. Very clean city, where ever we went. We spent 3 nights there, great staff. Rooms clean. Felt very safe.

We took a group tour over Ecuador. The next to last city visited was Cuenca. The town center was so well preserved and yet had some lovely modern buildings just off the square. Our hotel had an amazing view of the river and valley.There were numerous European-style .restaurants. We hope to go again.

We just spent eight days at the Hotel Cuenca. We had a good sized room with a huge bathroom which serves as a closet too. What a find. If you like authentic people and local atmosphere this is your place. A local hotel that was as clean as could be with a wonderful breakfast included. Service was suburb and would stay here again. Room was more than adequate, but the staff made the place.
