We loved our stay at Hotel Santa Lucia. Our room was fabulous. Somehow we ended up in a suite of sorts. There was a queen bed and bathroom, then a staircase up to a loft that contained two full sized beds. The only downside to the room was that it faced the street and unless you are an early riser,... more

My wife and I stayed at the Santa Lucia for two nights in a double-bedded room with windows that faced out onto the street. The room was very well appointed with a huge bed, minibar, TV, settee, nice clean shower/bathroom and a lovely colonial atmosphere with lots of dark wood. The restaurant in the inner courtyard below was clean and... more

The Hotel Santa Lucia is a lovely old Spanish style building with rooms set around a central courtyard. The staff were polite, charming and extremely helpful and our room was spacious, with a large bathroom and space-age shower! The hotel is ideally located, in the centre of this lovely city, and is beautifully furnished as well as being spotlessly clean... more

The Santa Lucia is a gorgeous, upscale hotel with lots of charm. The location is perfect, just a block off the main plaza. The building is a beautifully restored colonial structure with a lovely inner courtyard and rooms off the interior balcony. Our room was a good size, very comfortable new beds, flat screen TV, and a beautiful bathroom. Everything... more

We spent 2 nights here in March. Our room (on an upper floor) was fine. It was a bit noisy until around 10pm on both the Sunday and the Monday, but OK after that. Reception staff were very helpful when we had a problem with unclear arrangements for an excursion (not arranged by the hotel). The food was quite good... more

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and would love to have stayed much longer. The room was very comfortable with two large double beds. The location was very central and we were able to walk around the town - even to go on the open top bus tour and to visit local restaurants. The lounge areas were splendidly... more

Husband and I stayed 2 nights over weekend of national holiday Room small and double bed far too small for two, especially as my husband is over 6ft. Requested twin, but hotel full owing to holiday. Eventually they managed to locate a camp bed which I slept on except I didn't sleep as our room was on ground floor where... more

First of all we really concern about the problem that you had in our Hotel and we apology about it. But I want to let everyone know that the problem was from the travel agency that had a mistake on the reservation, they ask for a one bed room and the guest requires a twin room.

Lovely Hotel

We had an excellent experience at this hotel, and was disappointed that we could only spend 1 night here. The rooms are very tasteful, and the shower was a real treat -- especially after spending 10 weeks in Ecuador on a budget. This hotel was a luxury for me. The shower had many heads, and the bathroom was the largest... more

We stayed at the Hotel Santa Lucia for six nights in July. It is a lovely place, very attractive. The location is also really great, right in the center of Cuenca. Easy walk to many of the sights and shopping. The hotel staff are very attentive and helpful. The breakfast is quite good and included. The downside? Most of the... more

We loved our stay at the hotel. It's a very personable, smaller hotel with wonderful staff (they did everything they could). The room is not too big, but cute and had everything we needed. (By the way, we were on the second floor, and there's no elevator, so be prepared to walk up some stairs.) The location is great. The... more
