Hi everyone. We just came from a 17 day trip to Peru. We stayed in 10 hotels including La Casa de Margott (lacasademargott.com). This colonial mansion has nine very clean rooms with beautifull tiled bathrooms. The owner is in the middle of expanding the property by adding 19 additional rooms and a restaurant. During the day there is some noise related to the construction, but that did not bother us because most of the day we were away. The owner is planing to complete the project by the end June. Anyway, the hostel is located only 3 blocks from Plaza De Armas and away from traffic. The service is excellent, very friendly and helpfull staff. The owner personally picked us up from Puno and was kind enough to stop at the Chulpas de Sillustany and give us a quick tour of the ruins. The rooms are nicer than in any of the hotels we've staid in, even Royal Inka Pisac. This hostel is really worth considering. Check out their web side. more
