I’ve never stayed in a hotel as nice as Arequipa’s Libertador! It was stylish and beautiful, with a lot of wide open spaces, grass, and sweeping views of the looming volcanoes. Having a great time in Peru with amazing sites and 'real' 5* hotels. Best feature of Libertador Arequipa is it is clean , and free broadband in the rooms, location is a bit out of the main area of town, and this hotel is about 20 years over due for a spruce up. more

We stayed at the Libertador in Arequipa for two nights split between a trip to the Colca Canyon and would agree with comments made by previous reviewers. Libertador hotels are all good quality, we've been in them all over the years. Not a european 5 star, but a certainly a 4 star equivalent. We have never met a rude or unhelpful member of staff. Good pool, nice rooms, we don't use the restaurants, too many good ones in the city. 5 - 10 minute walk into town... more
