Stayed two nights. The rooms are large, the breakfast was decent and the hotel itself is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The gardens are wonderful and the neighborhood is secure. Altogether, I spent five nights in total at La Gruta. Being in the middle of a quiet residential area proved to be a solid guarantee for a good night rest. Quiet location? I think not. Every night there were barking dogs! When I complained to the hotel staff they told me there's wasn't any thing they could do. The room was a good size, but the carpeting was soiled and stained. The shower head fell off and had to be repaired.The breakfast menu isn't advertised.. I wasn't offered the breafast... more

This hotel has only one negative - it is outside of the town centre, though in our view this was more than compensated for by the exceptional staff, the pleasant garden, secure hotel compound and very nice room - and for a very reasonable price.
