Qorichaska is an inexpensive (around $25 US per night) hostel conveniently located near the Plaza de Armas in Cuzco. My daughter and I stayed there for 3 days in December and we were very impressed with the comfort of the simple rooms, the extreme kindness of the accommodating staff, and the really, really good coffee in the mornings. Qorichaska is a really good choice when coming to Cusco. The rooms are clean and offer lots of space to unpack your bags. I recommend the rooms in the back yard, they are more quiet. The shower is fine, beds are comfortable and have plenty of blankets, so you won't freeze! Rooms have no TV, but there's a tv-room available.... more

I can fully recommend Hostal Qorichaska, located in a old townhouse of 200 years old, just a few streets away from the tourist hub around the Plaza de Armas where life has not yet been too much affected by the tourist trade.
