The flying dog hostels are always a safe bet, they have a general good standard, good breakfast, friendly staff, etc. But the cusco hostel is extremely cold during winter, there are only two shared bathrooms, the kitchen and general space is small. Doooo ask for a flying dog stamp card, you save a lot of money when you travel :)

We stayed here in a double room for two nights for 75 soles per night. We thought the room was a but cold and the shared bathroom was not that clean. The place is pretty small and dark which we didn't like. There is a small kitchen that you can use but it's very limited and not that well equipped.... More

Our room was directly under the roof, very cold and with a nasty smell from the bathroom. There was a fridge in the room, but we had to disconnect it as it was overly noisy. The stuff is pretty bad organized. One morning there was no hot water at BF time because they forgot to buy matches, another day because... More

This is a nice hostel well located in Cusco, although it is up a hill which was tough going at first. The rooms were good and very clean. Some of the staff were friendlier than others. Friends of our handled the booking and the three times that they booked rooms here there was a mix up.

Great hostel. Breakfast ok. Clean rooms. Good location: close to plaza, quiet street. Nice tv room. Stayed here a week and went to flying dog arequipa afterwards. Got 10% discount for the week and 20% for the 3 nights in arequipa! Would recommend to stay here because it is cheap, central location with hot shower and not a loud partyhostel.

We stayed in Flying Dog for about a week. We liked it a lot, and felt like home. The staff is really helpfull and friendly. It is a quiet place, and it is about a 5-10 min walk to Plaza de armas. There are cheap restaurants and laundry nearby. The beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is OK, better than... More

Best staff in a hostel I've stayed at in 8 months in South America, so helpful and friendly! Great size to have a very intimate atmosphere. One of the best breakfasts too. Beds are very comfortable, with a duvet just like at home! Great TV room with heaps of good DVDs. And in a really nice and chilled out part... More

I stayed at the Flying Dog hostel in Cusco for 5 nights. This is a small hotel, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere was great. It was always clean too. I had a private room (with shared bathroom), with twin beds, for approx. 20 US$. A great deal if you are two people. Not expensive for Cusco standards. I... More
