This Hotel is falling apart. Stayed there for one night - phone line down during my entire stay as well as no hot water. Staff kept making up stories about things being fixed. Rooms, Lobby and Restaurant are worn and tired. Second and third floor were completely torn up, assume renovations are underway. Apparently this is no longer a HJ. more

Used before and after doing the Inca Trail and Rainforest extension. Good Location opposite a great market and not too far from the plaza. Hotel was the worst place we stayed while in Peru. The rooms were clean on the surface, but when getting into the shower after walking on the floor, the water turned brown from the dirt picked up off of the floor. Just returned from Christmas 2005 visit to Peru. Savoy was fine, we had one of the 3 room suites referenced in another review. Quiet with cable TV. Rooms are dated. I stayed here on a group trip before and after trekking the Inca Trail. The rooms and hotel are pretty basic. The decor in my room was orange. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but the shower was very poor. There is a nightclub next door which plays its tunes until 4 or 5am and no rooms... more

There's a disco in the basement to the left that sends a lot of noise to some rooms all the way up to the 3rd floor, especially on the weekends. Just returned from a group travel. I was lucky to get a nice 3 room suite. Others in the group got fairly average rooms to rooms without windows. Don't accept the first room given. The staff was wonderful. You can walk to the Plaza safely at night. Large market across the street. more
