This place was great. Though we had to catch our breath getting up to the third floor, it was worth it. The rooms were simple, but you don't go to Cusco to stay in your room. The deck gave a great panoramic view of the city, day & night. Within walking distance of the central plaza, the Plaza de Armas,... more

I stayed here with my family (brother, mother, uncle, and cousin) for 2 nights in an attempt to mix it up and try a new place when we returned to the city from a trip into Manu. To put it simply: we wished we'd returned to our previous hotel! The view from this hotel is unparalleled - period. The many,... more

I would strongly urge anyone travelling to Cusco to avoid this hotel. I had pre booked the hotel for before and after my Inca Trail trip and had a terrible experience on both occassions. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, the rooms were shoddy, very cold and smelled of damp. My friend´s rooms had a leak in the roof... more

Beautiful views of Cuzco. However, the bathroom was severely moldy and the floor above our bedroom creaked so loudly when people moved around that it was laughable. Thank goodness they went to bed early! The 100 plus bumpy, rocky steps, with no guide rails, up to the room were also difficult, even to the acclimated. My husband left me a... more

Everyone is right about this place, no heat, the heaters mind you we were never charged for. Some rooms have fireplaces. The stairs up and down do afford wonderful views of the city, from their breakfast room too. Kept quite clean, I think they try a bit, but they just don't seem to understand what western tourists look for. On... more

This place seems to have its detractors - which somehow makes sense, since a hotel as idiosyncratic as this one can't possibly please everyone. We ended up at the Casa de Campo on three different occasions (within two weeks) in three different rooms. Different in the literal sense, since no two rooms are alike here. One of them was a... more

We stayed at Casa de Campo for 3 nights prior to our Inca Trail trek and 1 night after in May 2008. We found everything to be satisfactory and the staff to be helpful and friendly. We are both fit, so the walk from the Plaza de Armas to the hotel & climbing the stairs in the hotel wasn't a... more

I stayed at the Casa de Campo for three nights and not one day passed without me considering checking out. In hindsight, I should have done so... I paid $45 for a single room, which was horribly overpriced. The quality of the room is simply not worth the money you pay for it and the place is located too far... more

When we first arrived at this hotel, we were amazed. As promised from other reviews, the views out our window and from the many terraces and eating areas were amazing. Yes, there were a lot of stairs, but we were prepared for that (mentally if not physically - it's tough to be physically prepared for anything at 11,500 feet). However,... more

The hotel has some beautiful views from a series of patios overlooking Cuzco. The rooms generally do not have any heat - or insulations, so winter nights are really cold. A few rooms have cable TV, but most don't. There is no internet connection. There was a very old looking sign saying their credit card machine was broken and they... more
