I really did enjoy my stay at the hostal santa catalina... It was one of the cheapest hostal we stayed in trough our trip in Peru and definitely one of the Best ! Good value for money near the main square. Paid 39$ for a double room. Basic breakfast included. DO NOT book any trips / tours through the front desk staff as they are likely to rip you off. Once you know this, rest of stay is very pleasent. more

Overall it was a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean with hot water, and there was a TV and hair dryer as well. The only thing that happened was that we asked them to call a secure taxi to take us to the train station, and they forgot and hailed a taxi off the street (pretending like they didn't forget)... more

Picked the hotel somewhat randomly through a travel agent at the Cusco airport and stayed 3 days. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Paid $35/night for a double room incl breakfast. This hotel is located off the main plaza. The staff were curteous but did not really speak English. Breakfast was basic but room had sattelite TV and an electirc heater (available on request). We would definately go back! more
