I am a single parent traveller who backpacked around Peru this summer with my 10 year old daughter. After coming into Cusco to a really bad hostal, we scrambled to find another accomodation in the area we were. We wanted to be close to the Plaza so we would be close to a lot of stuff we wanted to do.... More

The hostel was basic but clean. It is also in a great location just off the Plaza de Armas and there are various other plazas in the area as well. While not everyone spoke English well, the staff were very friendly and helpful. More

This hotel was booked as part of a tour package, and I left when the tour was over even though we were staying in Cusco. The location is good (2 blocks from Plaza de Armas), but it's way overpriced for Cusco - $40-$45 US for a room with sporadic hot water. Half the staff speak no English. Breakfast was decent.... More

Good location to the main square & great to have a bit of free wireless internet - although this cant be accessed from the rooms. Hot showers were a bit hit and miss. Beds a bit old, lumpy and saggy. Breakfast very average. If you get laundry done - make sure you ask to weigh it before sending out. Good... More

This is a basic hostal, so be prepared for dorm-room set up (even if not dorming) and lukewarm low pressure water. Breakfasts are also average, so go to Jack's cafe for nourishment. Depending on room, you may be able to hear noise from the street / the night clubs. But the location is amazing - short stroll to Plaza de... More

We had a wonderful stay at San Isidro Labrador. Estela was very nice, speaks perfect english, and had our room and reservation ready. Rooms are clean, area is perfect, very safe, very friendly. We paid US$40 for our matrimonial room, which is OK in cusco - there are much less expensive hotels, but we wanted to be safe and comfortable.... More

The San Isidro Labrador is a nice hotel. It has an open area in the middle with a lovely staircase, and rooms upstairs and downstairs. When we arrived they brought our bags upstairs - doesn't sound like a big deal, I know, but when you're slightly winded from the altitude it is much appreciated! They made us a fresh cup... More

Very clean, but our room was on the first floor and very noisy due to a troop of girlscouts from England. We had to move to a different hotel. More
