I stayed here before and after a trip to Machu Picchu. Our first room was 202 which is small, but has a huge balcony on the street. The hotel was located right next to the cathedral and the main plaza. Everything was within walking distance. The staff was friendly, but some of them were somewhat rude. We stayed here on 2 seperate occasions. The rooms were acceptable although probably the worst out of all the places we stayed in SA. The problem is that the noise is horrendous. Our room did not overlook the street so traffic was not the cause. I'm not sure whether it was the kitchen staff or just people from adjoining buildings... more

We stayed in the Casa Andina range of hotels in Peru. We found they were excellent for what we required. Our first overnight stop in Lima was in a large but bland standard room but being a stopover we wouldn't have wanted anything more grand. Great location (steps to the main square). ATM right across and plenty of restaurants/ shopping right next door. Clean rooms and capable service. Only con from the location is that if you get a room facing the street, be ready for a noisy night – the street has plenty of traffic that lasts well into the night and starts bright... more

The location of the Casa Andina Cusco Catedral is right off the Plaza de Armas.
